I was driving and saw a company car cut someone off, start honking at them, and get out of the car yelling at them before speeding away. That's a terrible way to advertise your business. Absolutely unprofessional and the driver was a lunatic.

A few months ago a wind storm knocked our neighbor's tree down and it fell on our garage. We contacted West Michigan Roofing to have the roof repaired. One of their project managers (Matt Richie) came out and us an estimate. We paid in full (minus the depreciable amount to be paid by insurance once the work was completed) up front to get on the schedule before winter. We were concerned from the beginning due to Matt's lack of communication, and inappropriate remarks he made. Once the work was complete, we had a few concerns. The crew knocked our garage door off the tracks and left it hanging open, broke a slate on our privacy fence, left broken pieces of wood and shingles in our flower beds, and did not complete necessary repairs we had discussed. We contacted Matt with these concerns Nov. 10 and was told they would be taken care of. Nov 23 we reached out again because we had not heard from him and nothing had been taken care of. He again said he would take care of it. We have not heard from him since, and nothing has been taken care of even after calling the office multiple times and leaving voicemails (no one ever answered the phone). Nov. 30th we got a call from a random guy saying he was coming to fix the fence, and then he never showed. Then last week they sent us an invoice for the amount that was supposed to be invoiced to our insurance company over a month ago. We contacted Matt as soon as we received it and have yet to hear back.

I'm normally not one to review things, but I wanted to give a heartfelt shout out to West Michigan Roofing and Bob Ackerman in specific. No one ever wants to hear that you need a new roof, especially when you just purchased the house and the inspector did not inspect the roof properly. You can imagine my excitement when I thought there was just a small hole on my roof only to find out there was a lot of things wrong. Not only did Bob come out and inspect my roof, he gave me a full report on what was wrong and how he and his team intended on fixing it. This gave me confidence that I wasn't being "sold" something I didn't need.

Fast forward to the consultation on what to order. Not once did I ever feel pressured into buying something I didn't need, and in fact, Bob worked with me on pricing as well as financing. There were plenty of options available and at the end of the day, I found myself feeling good about putting a new roof on my house.

Pricing was comparable to what I shopped around and the fact that he worked with me on a few things, really helped solidify my choice with West Michigan Roofing.

The time it took for the roofers to finish the job was 1 day. Yes, you read that right... 1 day. And the roof looks fantastic!

I was so impressed that I actually had his team put on new gutters and a window treatment around the outside of my windows.

Thanks Bob and West Michigan Roofing, you really made my house look amazing and I'm very pleased with the workmanship.

I'd love to give a review but I called 3 times, left message, then emailed from their website and still no reply. Hopefully they roof your house faster than they call you back. Bad business.

My roof apparently lost a few shingles during the storms in Kalamazoo over the weekend, and my ceiling started leaking during the heavy rains last night. I called 8 roofing companies and West Michigan Roofing & Construction responded quickly and came out for an estimate. Mr. Shannon Brown (Roofing Consultant) was very thorough, and their prices were competitive.

They provided fast, friendly customer service, and went out of their way to be sure I knew who to expect and when they should arrive. I felt as if my safety was also their priority.

I'm very pleased with the services and I'll certainly be using them for all my roofing needs in the future!

The three crews that worked on our hail damaged house did a great job. All the work was completed in a timely fashion. Joe made sure that we were aware of the work schedule and that we were pleased with the finished product. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Our experience with West Michigan Roofing was very positive, The relationship began with Bob Ackerman West Michigan Roofing, branch manager. Bob clearly explained not only the roofing products, but also provided alternatives to the traditional roof replacement. He showed us an overview visual of our roof and how the roofers would handle our multiple peaks and valleys. Bob also suggested the color and style of shingle for our home. He used a design visualizer My Design EyeQ™ by Owens Corning Fiberglas® to show us what our home would look like with the shingle he recommended. We also had the opportunity to see alternative designs and color with a few clicks from his computer. When it came down to a decision, West Michigan Roofing was extremely cost competitive (OK they were the lowest cost). But what really made our decision to go with West Michigan Roofing was the confidence that Bob gave us that the roofing project would be done right, on time and on budget. Well we weren't disappointed. Two days after signing the agreement there was a crew of roofers, tearing off our old roof and installing a new roof all in a single twelve hour day! The roofing team each had their assignments and worked in collaboration to minimize the disruption. Thy brought in a dumpster and all the old roofing and material were carted away and the yard surrounding the house was cleared up as well. Follow-up communication from Bob ensured that we were happy with the reroof and of course the value received. I would highly recommend that you give Bob Ackerman at West Michigan Roofing a call if you are thinking of installing or replacing your roof. You won't be disappointed!
