I would rate less but cannot leave a review if at least one star is selected. We've had our waste not picked up now three separate scheduled pick ups within 2 months. When called they do not offer any excuse other than to say "well, we'll be there soon". Awfully rude management as well.
Update 2/18/20 from less than 1 to 2 : I was contacted by corporate fairly quickly and to their credit they quickly contacted the operations manager local to me who then promptly contacted me and tried his best to make things right. It you never pick up our second can a this happens every December I paid for the second one and you guys for some reason always don't pick it up at the end of the end of December even though the guy down the street took our can he has two cans do you guys pick up but you don't pick ours up

Worst company I have ever worked. I signed up for their service almost a year ago with a payment of 36 per month. I have been charged nearly $100 per month for the last 6 months. They have constantly missed out home, and then I have to go onto the website and schedule a missed pickup which causes them to tack on an additional 30 plus dollars per time! I have contact support multiple times and I always have the same rude woman who answers the phone. I will be searching and changing my carrier ASAP!

Unreliable! We have had their service for 3+ years now and they consistently picked up our trash around 2-3pm. Then one day they didn't pick up so I called and the lady told me they came to pick it up at 6am and our bin wasn't out. Of course it wasn't when we always had time to put it out in the morning for YEARS! No notice or anything that this was changing, and another republic truck drives RIGHT by our house at 2pm but wouldn't collect our trash on that day. For as outrageous as the price is for this company they could accommodate people more! The price goes up significantly every year and I have to call and get it lowered. Such a hassle!!

I wish I could leave less than a 1 star rating. After bumping up the price for trash, recycle and yard waste, I decided to switch. Republic charges $30 per bin to remove their containers! The customer service rep on the phone must have been fielding calls from irate customers because she had a bad attitude from the start. I'm glad to say good riddance to bad rubbish on this .

Con artists. Used them for years and the bill kept going up. Check other services and found out they were charging more than three times the rate of everyone else. Called to cancel and they are charging me for the rest of the month and charging me $30 for them to pick up their own trash can. Good luck getting that money. Will be telling family, friends, and every social media outlet I can about these crooks. Bad company. Bad management. Bad customer service. Go somewhere else unless you like to give your money away.

Have missed picking up our trash on the last three regularly scheduled pickups. They also failed to pick up on two commitments after we called to report. We pay our bills on time and do not understand why they cannot pick up on time. Every time we call, and hold for 20+ minutes we are told that there aren't any notes in the system that would suggest a problem from the driver. I cannot understand the problem other than pure inept workmanship. I'm typing this now while I wait to speak with someone but I really think the outcome will be terminating this source.

Republic Services have a terrible reputation upon people in Grand Haven. I personally have had to call multiple times because of missed pick ups and having trash or yard waste that were in the bins left out on the curb when everything was taken. When I do end up calling customer service to schedule a pick up for the missed items, the customer service representatives don't seem to care that this is an inconvenience. If I was to do it over and look for a trash company again it will not be republic. 25+ minute wait times on the phone with customer service on top of leaving trash or yard waste on the curb after pick ups is unacceptable for any company. I'm paying for a service to have my trash taken and that is barely being done without a lot of pushing every week I'm not a happy customer at all!
