Would not recommend taking anything to their service department. Vehicle sat waiting for parts for over 10 weeks that other service departments could get within a week. Service managers and writers refused to return calls , refused to allow us to make with a main manager to get our issues resolved. Finally had the vehicle towed from dealership to a local garage and repair was completed. Unfortunately with the dealer left a jumper wire connected to the battery which over the 10 weeks has shorted out the battery, brake pads were rusted to the rotors from sitting causing a vibration. I understand part shortages and delays in delivery but overall staff treated us poorly and the lack of respect to even keep us updated on what was going on with service was horrible. One star is giving preferred to much credit. If you are a diehard chrysler fan I suggest using another dealer.

They made me so paranoid about driving my Toy, I traded it in for this stylin' machine.
My father was a Chrysler man. My car was usually a Dodge as in Challenger), Plymouth or Chrysler product. I had his car-which was costing me megabucks, but I felt safe in it- when I moved back to W MI. As a traveling Teacher-Consultant for Children with VI/Blindness, I had to have something for the whiteouts and black ice. So, a Toyota it was. I had had such good luck with it and had 150K miles on it, I was going to put a couple grand into it and run it as long as possible.
And then, I needed an oil change, so Preferred it was, because I thought I could trust them.
Well, I picked the new car up yesterday. I love it.
To the Store mgr.: you should know the day I came in, you had 4 or 5 gorgeous Challengers parked out front. Before I brought my keys in, I said to Jon, "I'll be back, I need to check those out." When I returned, I asked him about them- were they havin a promotion or something?
W/o looking up he responded saying he didn't even know what was out there. It changes all the time, he said.
Ya' know. My dad would've blown on this place long ago.
I was actually interested.
Oh, well.
Your loss.
BTW, things haven't changed since I worked at Lochmoor Chrysler-Plymouth in the 70s on the east side of the state. A woman cannot go to a car dealership w/o a male, to act as a persuader.
Just sad.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 20, 2019Previous reviewUPDATE
So, I received a phone call fron Craig Garber today RE: the review.
He has agreed to refund the cost of the alignment check and he is asking that the Manager call me . I appreciate the help.
We'll see how this goes....
Scammed! I went in for an oil change. I asked them to look at the alignment, since I was planning a 4+ hour drive the next day.
Paid for the oil change and alignment and I was told it would take over $3000 to fix my car.
Jon at the desk told me I needed to call my insurance.
I did, got a rental, transferred all my belongings (did I mention I was in the process of moving across state and I need a complete shoulder replacement?) and hit the road.
The collision shop spent over $300 determining there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR!
So, I had to pay for that since it was under my deductible AND got this as a "hit" on my file.
In addition, Blood's Alignment who was called in showed me on paper that Preferred did not even do the alignment I paid for.
I got a 4 day migraine over this and am beyond angry.
I lost my only child last September and these Bozos knew that. They deliberately tried to shaft a 60 something grieving woman. Unforgiveable.
My dad was a Chrysler man and he is rolling over in his grave about this. - Maddy N.SoMa, San Francisco, CA41Oct 30, 2021
Terrible customer service, would give zero stars if possible. My brother purchased a used car from them, a part had been reported as fixed. Several times over to course of the 5 months of owning the car, the check engine light repeatedly came on, with the response from the dealership being the part was fixed and the light was due to a sensor. Now, the car won't start and the fix is $8,000. When brought to the attention of staff, the response was rude, degrading, and disrespectful. I will not be recommending this place to anyone I know or respect.

After searching for a Jeep for my youngest son for a month and a half and getting the run around from my local Detroit area dealer. I ventured onto the web and found Preferred, and a very professional, knowledgeable, and nice sales person by the name of Buck Rogers. Their online inventory was spot on and Buck knew each vehicle down to the last option. It took one phone call and two emails and in under 24 hrs the vehicle was delivered to our cottage on a Saturday no less. Buck has a customer for life in me, and I am recommending him to everyone I know. The Jeep is awesome, and my son is very happy. Thank you Buck for redeeming my faith in professional sales people.

Purchased a vehicle from them 5 years ago and had a wonderful experience. Went back a month ago and it was the opposite. 1 week after having the vehicle we noticed a terrible gas smell to the point we couldn't close the garage because of the fumes. Called the dealership and they said we bought it as is and that there was nothing they were going to do. But they would happily schedule us in for service at full price. $700 later we have a new fuel pump. TERRIBLE!

We bought a Jeep from Preferred. The sales person was super rude and I had a hard time getting him to even respond back to calls or emails. Then we realized our Jeep was stripped of any removable gear like floor mats and freedom panel bag. Then I asked about some corrosion spots which should be covered by the warranty. EXCEPT...they failed to mention that the vehicle was from Canada and the warranty doesn't transfer to the US. They wouldn't help at all.

Take no covid precautions. I asked the manager why nobody was adhering to state guidelines and he said, "that's all fake". They lied to me about my trade in number. When I did all the math it didn't add up. They told me they were "showing" me 12000 for my trade but it was actually only worth 9000. Then I called the bank that was financing the purchase. The bank gave me a rate lower than what the dealer had quoted me. The bank explained the dealer would be paid the profit between the buy rate and the rate the dealer told me. So basically, another $900 profit for the dealer on top of the $3000 they lied about on my trade in. They claimed they were giving me a great deal by discounting the car I was buying by $1600. Not quite. A lot of lies and deception. Buyer beware.these guys are crooks. Sadly, I think my salesman was nice. It was the manager spinning the lies.

The customer service we had was awesome! I think his Name was Michael Vanderplow... first time talking to him and he was very informative and helpful. Seemed to enjoy his job and just try to be as helpful as possible. He should get employee of the month!

Brought my car in for an oil change. Service writer came in and told me the tread wear shows that the tires need to be rotated as well. The problem with this is the fact I just had brand new tires installed earlier in the day so they had maybe 20 miles on them!!
No apology!! Just looked embarrassed and walked away. Obviously not a dealer to be trusted.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie H.Grand Haven, MI62Jun 30, 2019
I have been a customer for years as I have a 2007 with Life Time w
Warranty which is why I put up with their attitude towards woman and their unwillingness to check to see if service I heed is under warranty. They charge me $200 dollars for a gas cap. Then I learn they didn't bother, after all these years of taking my money, to let me know van had to have inspection in a certain month to retain Life Time Warranty. So my warranty was canceled which could mean thousands of dollars to me. I was rudely told it was all My fault. TO SAY i FUROUS IS AN UNDERSTANDMENT. I have all the receipts that show the van was only serviced by them except once in New Mexico where my late husband took it to a local dealer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
