These guys really went above and beyond in my case. My daughter left her purse in a nearby store. They went and found it and mailed it to me at their expense. I wasn't even their customer. But I will be now!

You may not be able to go in the store right now, but they do have merchandise online and they have been doing curbside pickup and mailing. I have ordered 5 puzzles and a game from them and they arrived quickly (even considering all mail is slow right now). I'm currently working on my 4th 1000-piece Ravensburger puzzle. Thanks MacKite for helping me get through the Shelter in Place order. Hope I can stop by this summer!

Just gotta give a shout out to Dan The Man at Mackite. What an AWESOME human being! Dan you really made our Grand Haven visit a fun one. We are having a company Scavenger Hunt and wanted to include some of the local shops in GH on our hunt. Dan gave us some fun and silly ideas of how to incorporate games into our event. Our teams will be stopping in to take some photos next week and I'm sure they will love the store as much as we did. Thanks for going the extra mile!

Fun shop friendly employees. Kinda pricy but that doesn't tend to stop me getting something if I love it. I purchased a silly skeleton riding a bike that was wind powered. Can't wait to get home and put it by my craft shed. There is a place similar to this in San Francisco. It actually could be the same company. I purchased a sugar skull kite I will probably never fly, but I loved it.

Great staff! Soo helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have some fun :)

Good toy store - lots of creative items. Of most interest are the kites - they carry a good selection of kites, ranging from inexpensive to expensive, along with kite accessories.

Lots of creative learning toys for all ages too. Some skim board and boogey boards in variety of prices too, for beach goers.

If you've got kids and/or love kites, drop by. If you are there for the week, stop by early in your visit and find out what night they are doing a kite session on the beach!

(By the way - beach at Grand Haven is a great place to fly a kite - try walking south toward dog beach, where it gets a bit quieter.)

Apparently my son had a major meltdown when my wife tried to take him out of Mackinaw Kite. I'm not sorry I missed that, but I'm sorry I didn't get to go to Mackinaw Kite on my last trip to Grand Haven. They have cool kites, Thomas the Tank Engine stuff, and lots of other neat toys and games. Kids will love it. Adults will love it. Why anyone would rather buy cheap junky toys at WalMart than something awesome at a place like this is beyond me.

And like my wife said: "I'm sure that's not the first meltdown they've seen when a kid had to leave the store," which is a pretty high compliment.

Great toy/game store we visit almost every time we come to Grand Haven.

They always have friendly staff and lots of games and toys to sample and play with if you are curious about one.

Great place to go if you are in town on vacation and have a rainy day. Find a fun new game to pass the hours and have a good time.

Every time we go, maybe twice a summer, they have something different.

Sometimes prices are a little more than other stores, but worth the opportunity to find and play with something new before you make the purchase.

Fun store with lots of toys and games. Local so I like to support them too. Unfortunately a lot of the time you get teenagers reading of pot just hanging out in the toys. Not a great place to take small children during these times.

This is a fun store in downtown Grand Haven that has great kids' toys and learning games and also adult clothing and shoes. I usually shop here for kid's toys and they're always so helpful and friendly. They love to demonstrate how to use the new toys which is great. It helps to see how games are played and how toys work before buying them. Great place to go for unique birthday gifts!
