Hiway Inn

What an unassuming place. From the outside, you would think it might be sketchy or scary inside. Like run down. Instead, you go inside and there is well lit and modern looking bar to an old-timey place.
There's a wrap around bar. There's table seating. I've seen regulars and families in there. A juke box. Atm. Pool table. Video game machine. And fun signs on the walls.
They have pub fare, good food.
The wait staff has been great every time I've gone in. I really enjoyed meeting Amber on my last visit.
I think it's a fun, affordable and inviting place to have meal and drinks. Totally casual. No dress code, other than wear clothes and footwear...lol
It's almost five stars. But I give it four plus stars.

Tip was crowded. I came here. Tip had a weird vibe tonight too. So I came to HiWay. Great bibe with live music on this snowy night.

This is the best bar in Grand Haven. Ice cold beer stable burger menu get in here . Great menu great crew. Get here early Nog a late night spot. Locals locals locals. Enjoy !

Great dive bar, friendly staff and clientele. Fries and reasonably priced drinks. There is also a jukebox. The pool table is run down but still a fun option.

The Hiway Inn is always a wonderful choice. Their burgers are tasty. We have never been disappointed with the food... their soups are terrific.
The wait staff are very friendly.. After you have been their several times the girls behind the bar will recognize and you have become a regular

Nice neighborhood bar vibe with good food. I've only been here for lunch so I don't know what the night crowd is like but the lunch crowd has a friendly working class feel. The burgers are good and the fries are good crinkle cut kind. The daily soup list is very impressive for a bar and everyone I've tried is excellent. It hasn't been too crowded when I've been there so you can stop in for a workday lunch even if you aren't drinking. All in all, a friendly place with great food. Is there anything else needed.

Want your drinks strong? Want one of the best and cheapest bar burgers in town? Want to mingle with the locals without a side helping of pretension? Hit the Highway - loud music, louder patrons, and you'll leave smelling like an ashtray (at least until May), but the new expanded menu is bang-on bar munchies, the taps run fast and furious, and you won't break the bank for a night of getting your drink on. Sure, if I wanted to impress a trendoid, I might take' em to the Deelite...but if I want to just have a few beers, you'll find me at the Highway.
