Electric Hero Grand Haven

Stopped here for lunch on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. We had the Jimmy Pesto Melt and the Capone; both were delicious! Hearty portions; we were glad we didn't get chips.
Service was very good; the gal at the counter was friendly and after they called our number thanked us for coming in.
We did eat at their outdoor tables but it's close enough you could walk to the grassy area by the channel and enjoy the view while eating a good sandwich.
Will stop back again!

I'm not a sandwich person, but when I read the totally punny menu, I was hooked. The staff are very friendly and aim to please. We took our sandwiches to the beach to enjoy the view & the really lovely cool breeze. My husband got the pineapple express & we were both impressed with the amt of pulled pork on the salad, and topped with pineapple. I HAD to get the cow pig & mango walked into a bar sandwich. Wow, it was delicious & clever at the same time! We will def do this again!

I rarely ever leave a bad review on a business, but If I could give this location a zero, I would. My daughter ordered the Tesla and was disappointed that it had no flavor to it, and my husband thought his Pow pow pastrami tasted weird, but he was too hungry to care. They only ate half of their sandwiches which is rare, and both said their sandwiches were "meh". Below is what what gets to me though.

I ordered the piña cubano solely based on their advertisement showing a photo of a large piece of grilled pineapple on the sandwich. Also listed on their website AND WALL "Pulled pork, ham, swiss, pickle shreddies, yellow mustard, grilled pineapple on grilled sourdough"

The sandwich that I received was nothing like what was shown or advertised. I took 3 bites and couldn't get past the disappointment. My husband went to return the sandwich, and was told that there is no refunds - as shown on the bottom of their receipt and was asked if I wanted something else instead. (This should have been a clue...)

I looked over their menu, and selected something else. They tried to charge my husband for it. Um, what? Why did you ask if he wanted something in its place and then try to charge him!?

They stated that they didn't make the wrong thing, and "canned chunk pineapple tastes the same - they've never had any complaints before."

Seriously!?


That said, this visit and interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. I definitely would NOT recommend this restaurant based on the service that we received today.

Today my boyfriend and I decided to go out and get some food here. once we ordered we sat down, and we were sitting for nearly 45 just waiting to get our food.

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday with a group of people. We all had a different sandwich and everyone was super happy with their selections. I ordered the Tijuana hangover and was super impressed how full the wrap was and how well the flavors played together. Normally I don't finish a whole wrap, but this one was too good to save any for later. My friend ordered the cow, pig & mango walk into a bar. He said it has a lot of flavor and was heavily sauced with the chutney. Overall it made for a nice bite as a combination of sweet and savory. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a quick, good sandwich.

Horrible. $12.65 for a soggy sandwich, hardly any meat, and a can of pop. No extras. Place is filthy. Needs a visit from the health department.

Not your typical sandwich shop. So many choices to choose from. We tried three different sandwiches and split them (the doctors club, Jimmy pesto, and the smoky swine). While we liked them all, the smoky swine was our favorite. All were fresh and warm (if they were supposed to be) and not mushy at all. They were short staffed but still got our sandwiches out to us efficiently and deliciously. We would definitely go back. The only downside was they had to close early due to staffing so call before you show up. Many people were disappointed by the 2pm closing while we finished our food.

Since my husband and I were the only ones in the store, I could hear the girl, who was making my sandwich, actively complaining about my order. First she was annoyed I have a gluten allergy, then she was annoyed I wanted to add guacamole to my order. I understand maybe she is tired from working all day but it doesn't make me feel good about being a customer at a place where they complain about my order in front of me. Not professional at all. Probably will not return to this location.

I have now been to three Electric Heros and they all share the same consistent great food.

I haven't been able to stray away from the Pineapple Express salad because it is just so darn tasty. I literally crave it!

I was excited to check out the one in Grand Haven yesterday and bring the delicious eats inside my favorite brewery in Grand Haven too-OSA. You can actually order it from the brewery and they will walk it over to you too!

The decor inside of Electric Hero is fun and pretty cool. They have a few paintings on the wall of a hip music street inspired looking guy eating some of their awesome creations. I personally love the white chairs with the black design they have going on them.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The place was clean and carrying some good vibes.

Keep being awesome and I will keep coming back!

The humus wrap is fabulous! Fresh crisp veggies and greens and humus had great texture and just the right seasoning! The wrap was fresh too! Yum
