Stop #21 on our Hundreds of Hops Tour
This unassuming sleeper is tucked in next to a sometimes open dive bar & it's 100% worth a stop.
We were greeted by a full wall mural in Caribbean style, with the theme continued throughout. There was a cooler with Mexican soda, which made sense after chatting with the owner. This place just SCREAMS, "sit down & chill for a while." Something we've come to love about the small breweries is getting up close & personal with brewers, seeing their passion for their art & experiencing their willingness to share the how, what, why & even the where you should try next.
While every brew we tried here was on point, Big Chungus was our favorite of the trip. We also were in agreement that the selection here was the most balanced & well-rounded out of all of our stops... leaves ya saying, "Founders who? Bells what?"
Do yourself a favor if you're in the area & stop by for a drink or 3, and enjoy the company great people.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Nov 6, 2023
A nice friendly neighborhood brewery. We stopped in on a Friday evening and the place was pretty crowded. Fortunately there was one empty table.
I had the Bloom cider and it was very good, probably one of my favorites. My husband had a flight The Banana Stand, a pale ale, the banana was not overpowering, Pumpkin Cheesecake a smoothie sour , the Creeper and a few others. All were very good and the bar had a cool atmosphere .
There was a food truck out front since they do not serve food.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 6, 2024
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, is one terrific brewery! We were so impressed with our visit. For Saturday night they were busy, but still extremely attentive. We got seats at the bar and ordered a flight which we find is the best way to get a feel for any new brewery. There was not a regrettable choice to be found! Everything we tried was amazing. The standouts for me were the Mexican lager and the dark lager while my husband really enjoyed the double IPA and the wicked smaht IPA. We loved how it felt like this is where the locals hang out away from the more touristy area of grand Haven. In our short visit there we felt quite at home. No kitchen but a food truck is usually available or you are welcome to bring in your own. Definitely planning to return soon.

Super friendly brewery with great beer! We enjoyed our visits here during a recent trip to Holland. I had the El Jefe Hefeweizen, and my husband enjoyed the Total Eclipse of the Hops. Later, my husband also got the Sun, which he shared with me. Casual atmosphere and staff made this one of our favorite stops in the area. Highly recommend this one!

The beers were fantastic! This was my first time there and I was impressed because everything I ordered was quite good, but the creeper (their flagship ipa) was my favorite. They do provide table service in their small taproom and note it is small so almost all tables are high top with 4 chairs. They sometimes have food trucks out front as well because they do not have a food menu, and those food trucks are quite good. Pictured is Street Chef Shaw.

Great beer! The beer based on baklava was amazing--it's 9% so be careful :) Lovely environment, all the samples I had were delicious.

My brother and I walked in and were immediately greeted by Joanie! She is so sweet. We had a great time with her... easy to talk to and down to earth. She definitely knows what she is doing.
I like the variety of beers they had especially the strawberry mom and wicked smart. You need to come in and try a flight to find what you like!
Beautiful front patio as well to enjoy beverages outside...it was also nice to see a dog there when I walked in. On vacation from Chicago and heard yaa go White Sox from someone on the patio when we walked in... friendly, fun atmosphere.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karen W.Birmingham, MI261512Jul 15, 2022
Passed a lovely rainy afternoon here. Our server Randi was beyond charming. One of those off the beaten track, neighbor pubs that you'll be glad you wandered into. We tried and enjoyed their Wicked Smart Dipa, the ESB AND THE DIOSA, loved them all.

Went here for the first time a few months ago, beers were just mediocre- tasted very watered down. Decided to give the place a second chance yesterday. We walked in and were standing at the bar, looking at the menu. We went to order and the lady behind the counter told us, "You have to be seated at a table to order." It was loud in there so I could not hear her clearly the first time, very snarky she looks at me again and says, "Did you hear me? You have to sit down." So, we went and sat at table where no one ever did come to wait on us. In the meantime, two men walk up to her at the bar, and she says, "What can I get for you guys?" We got up and left. Thought you had to be sitting at a table to get service and could not order at the bar? Thanks for the rude customer service. We will not be returning to give you a third shot after last night.
