Initially went very well using them for moving to a new home. Then moving day came and went all down hill. We're quoted for $2700 and approx 6 hrs with 4-5 movers, turned into $5100 and took 12hrs with 5 people. The estimator came to our house moving from and looked at every room top to bottom and outside etc so I thought the estimate would be close. Then they broke our coffee table and tread mill and only offered a sorry and nothing else. The movers were great! But the office personnel were not helpful or seemed like they cared at all. Would not recommend. To the company: Clean up your act, try to care more, and please get people to estimate that actually know what it will truly cost and the time it will take.

Moving and Packing
You need to have many eyes supervise their packing. We had purchased new items unfortunately within a week of moving. They have been instructed to write "scratched, marred" on every item they pack. They packed and stuffed boxes with nothing in them!
Furniture treatment
They have zero appreciation for high priced furniture. Poorly wrapped especially exposed corners. Their version of repair at the destination is to offer to send you a furniture marker. Some of our dressers had all the nobs stripped off. All our lamps were destroyed.
Long term storage
While they have climate protection, they will just cram your furniture in a vault on top of items damaging them.
Lost items
They put it back on the owner to prove they stored them. Their list from packing has no identifiers (and you paid them to pack)

This is the first time we've hired a moving company, so I was a bit apprehensive about it. I researched it online and discovered that Mayflower was one of the best. Well, I wasn't disappointed. They carefully wrapped up anything with special attention to the heirlooms. Everything arrived as promised with hardly any scrapes or breaks. The few items that were damaged were paid for 100%, no questions asked. Hopefully that will be my last move, but I will definitely use Mayflower, in this case Boer's Mayflower, if I do.

We used Boer's to move my elderly parents across the country. They packed and loaded and drove cross country. We had a very tight timeline and they worked to make it fit exactly.
Boer's was easy to work with from 4 hours away leading up to the move, all paperwork and details were so well thought out.
They also moved one car on the truck (they have to load & unload it at the facility)
The packers were excellent. They met my parents as we were leaving the house to fly them off to the new residence, and they each greeted my parents, which helped my mother feel better about someone packing her life up. They did an excellent job. Not one complaint.

We used Boer's for our move to Texas. We were paying for the whole move, and spent 15K+ and received the worst service imaginable. I will say that the packers were very good and nothing was broken in the transit. However, the movers themselves were awful. EVERY piece of furniture we own was scratched and/or dented. The mattresses were dragged across my garage floor without being wrapped or put in a mattress box and I cannot get them clean. They even failed to take off the fitted sheet on one of the beds (I was not everywhere and did not know) and it was ruined and ripped and had oil on it from the garage floor, just like my 3 other mattresses. The "head mover" or "boss" of the crew of movers on both ends, the driver, was the most horrible. He was rude, uncooperative, and made several disparaging comments about my furniture and my house. My family has been moved professionally 5 times and this is the only time I have ever had any kind of problem. No furniture was wrapped with the plastic, the movers they got had no idea what they were doing on both ends of my move, they seemed to be day laborers and complained incessantly among themselves and to us about how much they hated this job. Doorways were not wrapped or protected and they put dents in walls and doors. It was a horrible move. I cannot stress enough not to use these movers. When I did complain, I was told I could make a claim, but no apology was given, except from the secretary. I am not the kind of person to normally complain, but in this case, I had to. Find another mover, whether long distance move or not, as they will not take care of your furniture or boxes!
