McKellips was the best option when it came to choosing a Heating and Cooling company for all new HVAC for my house downtown Grand Haven originally built in 1920. In order to add a complete second story of living space, Steve had the best plan to work with my existing old house and avoid adding bulk heads (many other companies wanted to put a bulk head in my kitchen or expensive mini-splits on the upper level). Steve's crew also custom built my duct work to keep as much head room in the basement as possible. Install of furnace and air conditioning was perfect. Tracey helped me apply for the maximum rebates possible and we just received the final inspection today. I highly recommend McKellips for all Heating and Cooling needs.

My tenant called and said the furnace was out. I called Mckellips and they were sent out, replaced a fan and inducer motor $800 in parts and labor. Tenant calls again and says the house is 40 degrees. Mckellips is sent out again for another service call and more parts. Finally, after a third service call the part is put in that fixes the problem. it is a 300 dollar part and 1 hour of labor. totaling less than 400 dollars. I have now lost a tenant who has requested to be out of her lease and paid over $800 in parts and labor that did not fix the problem. I suspect the older gentleman that i talked to does not use a multimeter to systematically troubleshoot the electronics of the furnace. there are parts changers who guess- and those who troubleshoot and diagnose to change the right part the first time. on top of this the furnace was left disassembled. As a licensed tradesperson, I myself would absolutely never leave a job unfinished after charging someone for parts they didn't need. My advice is call another area service technician. I plan to file a complaint with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

They were doing a good job. They got talent. They got the job scheduled and just about completed.

I would recommend them. They are very, very competent. They are honest and very good people. The price was fair.

McKellips was the 3rd and final company to quote on the job. Steve came promptly exacltly when he said that he would. It took about 7 or eight business days to get me the quote. That was the only problem that i had during this experience. It was very minor. Their quote came in the lowest by far. Mark, the person who did the work, showed up on time, and was very professional. He cleaned up after himself both days, and answered any questions that i had. I would use them again without hesitation.

THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF MY HOME WENT THROUGH THIS COMPANY SO I DECIDED TO TRY THEM. THEY DID NOT LET ME DOWN. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND FAST. THE MEN THAT CAME TO MY HOME WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND POLITE.
