Looking for a nice place to eat near Fraenthal theater?
A:
We just ate at Capone's speakeasy and Pizzeria st 794 pine street. It's a new restaurant that has some great Chicago style food. Probably a 2 minute drive. Curry kitchen has great Indian if you like that style.

I ordered the trio of soup today. the flavor was great. my complaint is in the amount per cup. the Wisconsin cheddar was full to the to, minus the great cheese popcorn it was had preservative filled processed cheese balls. the black bean was 3/4 full, the chili was 1/2 full. no excuse for not filling amply bc the lids are elevated and secure. no longer comes with the toll but saltine crackers. what a disappointment after trying Hearthstone the 2nd time since covid and quality still not up to par. For the price I'd expect better.

Visited for the first time and it was AMAZING. I wanted to try as many of the soups as possible so the server suggested I do a trilogy of soups. It's basically three soups to try. I tried the cheese, the gumbo, and their signature onion. All of them were amazing. Especially the French onion. For appetizer, I ordered the carpaccio, the Fried goat cheese, and the spinach and artichoke dip. They were all very good. After all these appetizers we were pretty full, but I still wanted to try an entrée. I decided to go with the wedge salad and add steak to it. The steak was done to perfection and the wedge salad was cut perfectly so it wasn't overwhelming. The server we had was quick, and very attentive.
As far as the ambience and the decor, it was very cozy and reminded me a bit of European restaurants where space is tight, but you're not feeling crowded. I would consider the attire of the patrons to be a little more dressier than casual based on what everyone was wearing but definitely did not feel stuffy. I will be going back because they have several more items on the menu that I want to try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Julie ..Muskegon Heights, MI01Apr 21, 2024

Best restaurant in Muskegon! We've been going there for many years and are never disappointed by the food, service, ambiance, or when we order takeout! Thank you, Hearthstone!

I really loved my experience here. We chose to wait for an outside table. There were these cute gazebos with furniture or tables that could be used to wait for the table, and we enjoyed taking advantage of those. There were nice potted flowers around that helped keep people from feeling like they were sitting in the parking lot. Very nice attention to detail there.
My guess is that you'd really like to hear about the service and the food. Well, they didn't disappoint, either.
We started with:
Fried Garlic Nori-Radishes
local radish mix * crispy nori * sesame oil * roasted garlic flakes * parmesan
$15
(These were so good that I want to figure out how to make them at home.)
Next, we had:
Grilled Salmon
6 ounce salmon filet * orange ginger butter * couscous & quinoa * grilled asparagus
$38
(Mine was a bit dry. I should have asked for it to be seared, I think. Other than that, it was quite delicious.)
I enjoyed my boyfriend's dish a bit more than mine as it was cooked perfectly and so delicious:
Chicken Milanese Florio
sautéed parmesan dusted organic breast of chicken * pappardelle pasta & wild mushroom "Florio" marsala cream * grilled asparagus
$29.50
We had that with a great Portuguese red wine from the Quinta Do Paral winery. (Colheita Tinto 2017 Selecionada)
We topped off our meal with the cheesecake drizzled in caramel as the salted caramel creme brûlée and regular creme brûlée were out.
New York Style Cheesecake
graham cracker crumb crust * choice of strawberry, chocolate, or caramel garnish
$9
I guess we will just have to go back...
I was thrilled with the service we had. It was a tad on the chilly side sitting outside that night, and we were able to convince them to turn on the outside heater. I also forgot my purse when we left, and the staff had kindly tucked it away so I could pick it up the next day.
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. Thanks for helping to make it a memorable evening!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bob P.MI, MI05Jan 4, 2024

Waitress was great. Food was terrible! Caesar salad was soggy with soggy tough kale that you couldn't chew, also had parmesan Risotto which I had to send back along with the salad. I was forewarned by a family member but thought I would see for myself. Never again!.

Love going to this restaurant for anniversaries. Their catering staff served our wedding and we love their food and atmosphere.

It was very snappy fast and the food was really good. The service was good, they gave recommendations and the feel was not loud but not quiet.
