I lost my childhood dog on the first. I'm 19 almost 20, she's been my best friend since i was 6, devastated doesn't make out how i feel. My family brought her to the vet because she was urinating what seemed to be straight blood. We found out she had a massive kidney stone. They sent us home with hundreds of dollars worth of medications to work it out over the course of 3 months. They sent us home unknowing the amount of pain she was in, they didn't say anything about the possibility of her passing in the next 12 hours. That night she suffered for several hours and bled out alone and the next night i stood over her saying goodbye. If you can go anywhere else, go there!

We have trusted Dr. Sarah and her crew with all of our pets for years now. They are simply the best.

Never thought I'd be yelping about a vet, but this was so unique that I had to. Our english setter Maggie got sick and between blood work and ex rays it seemed she had an extremely infected uterus. She is ten years old and was still intact. Always a specimen of good health and vitality we decided that the chancy surgery was worth the risks. When Dr. Sarah opened her up she found the spleen was enormous and it looked like we were going to say goodbye to our girl. In a phone call (with the dog opened up on the operating table) I told her to go ahead and put Maggie down, since she thought it was for the best.

Five minutes later she called me back and said that when she lifted the spleen to show her fellow care givers she noticed that the mass appeared to be contained and she thought there might be a chance to save Maggie. Again, I took her professional opinion and let her take the spleen as well as reproductive organs. A spleenectomie is a specialized surgery usually performed in grand rapids, but since she was open and on the table it was a risk that had to be taken. Since this operation usually involves blood transfusions and they don't carry blood at this hospital it was even more delicate.

She woke from surgery, and when we took Maggie home she had a 25% chance of making it. By Monday we knew she had made it through.

Dr Sarah was more like a sister than a doctor and treated our dog like a part of the family. She literally sat on the floor and talked to us in a very open, honest and informative way. It was clear that she cared deeply, as much for our feelings as for the health of our pet.

Maggie continues to recover and is nearly back to normal, now three weeks after major surgery, and I know that it was because of the love of her family, prayer, and the loving, knowledgeable care of Dr Sarah.

My dog received excellent care, but the dog doesn't pay the bill. Since I pay I also expect respect, including respect for my time. Every time I went there they never were on time. To make matters worse, they would never explain, just put you in a room and leave you there for 20 to 40 minutes with no explanation or update.

An appointment is for both parties to be there on time. They would consistently call me to make sure that I would be there on time and that I remembered the appointment but they would not call and tell me that they were going to be late.

The last time after thirty minutes of waiting I decided to leave and then they were suddenly ready for my dog. They thought it was funny that they were only thirty minutes late. I found another veterinarian.
