Q:
Can you bring dogs inside?
A:
Dogs are welcome in our outside seating area, however unfortunately due to Michigan health code regulations, because we technically serve food (delivered to your table from 4 different restaurants) they are not allowed inside.

Stopped into the SideBar (coffee shop inside the brewery) for some morning juice.
Decent nitro coffee & lemon poppy seed muffin. Paid under $15 with tip for 2 nitros & 1 lemon poppyseed muffin. Nitro left no bitter aftertaste, slightly acidic, and no excessive amount of foam... which has been a common issue elsewhere lately. A good stop for a pick me up, especially if you need some caffeine between the OTHER brews.
The serves seemed happy and were chatty with each other. We did stroll up on a conversation about a customer that comes it regularly & doesn't tip. Probably not a good front of the house conversation, yet maybe people need to hear it, eh.
(This stop will not count in our Hundreds of Hops tour, as we didn't hit up the brewery- maybe we'll make it back before we leave town tho.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 24, 2024Updated review
I hadn't been to Odd Side Ales in years, so Nate and I stopped in and had a drink while visiting the area recently. The space is large and great for groups, with plenty of communal seating and a huge bar. They have some games available an we saw people playing cards. They have 50+ taps with all types of beer. They also serve hard slushees, wine, cider, and seltzers.
We sat at the bar and had great service. Nate got a flight and I got a mimosa beer that was refreshing and delicious. The flight is always our go-to when visiting a new brewery or one we haven't been to in awhile. Nate liked all the tastes he got and I really enjoyed some of the darker specialty stouts.
They don't serve food at Odd Side Ales, but you're welcome to bring food in or you can order directly from several of their local restaurant partners nearby, then they'll deliver right to your table.
Odd Side Ales also houses the Side Bar coffee counter that serves lattes, hot chocolate, coffee, and smoothies and shakes. This is a family-friendly spot that seems to have something for everyone! I look forward to visiting whenever I'm in the area.Helpful 11Thanks 3Love this 12Oh no 0Jul 5, 2018Previous reviewLocated on West Michigan's lakeshore, Odd Side is known for their unique experimental beers and fun taproom. My friends and I braved the holiday crowds and stopped in for a beer and some snacks on the Fourth of July. Tourists from all over flock to Grand Haven and neighboring towns during the summer and Odd Side was pretty busy. The taproom is quite large with lots of varied seating (communal tables, high tops, etc.) so you may have to share a table with some new friends. We were able to grab a high top in the back near the bubble hockey. Order beer at the main bar, then go down to the end to order food. They weren't pouring any flights on the holiday, which was kind of a bummer as that's how I usually like to start whenever I go to a brewery I haven't been to in awhile, but I understood the policy. I ordered a pint of Apricot Peach Rhubarb Fruitsicle, which is a tart ale with lactose and fruit added. It was delicious! Light and refreshing for a hot summer day, but still has tons of flavor. My friends got the Jackalope and Bean Flicker, which are mainstays and always popular.
You are free to bring in food, but you can also order some delicious items from Electric Hero right in the taproom. The menu includes a bunch of amazing grilled cheese and nacho options, which happen to be some of my all-time favorite food items. You can also order salads and other sandwiches - everything sounded awesome. When our whole order of the buffalo chicken nachos came to the table, I almost cried. These are serious business, with every single chip completely covered in tons of toppings - the way all nachos should be! These had fire braised chicken, house-made queso, blue cheese crumbles, jalapenos, onions, cucumbers, buffalo sauce, radishes, and ranch. Are you kidding me?! They were so delicious. We thought the whole order was too large but then we demolished the entire pan. SO GOOD. I also ordered a standard grilled cheese (cheddar, muenster, and provolone on sourdough) which was good, but nothing compared to those nachos. I'm still thinking about them and I will go back and get more (they have five other kinds)!
Service was friendly and quick even though it was super busy. There were lots of families with kids and people of all ages; definitely a good place to stop after the beach or on your way to watch fireworks or a holiday parade! - Feb 26, 2024
Still my favorite brewpub in Grand Haven. I just keep finding new things to love. This time it was Odd Side's take on the White Russian cocktail. It's all the goodness any self-respecting Dude would expect, but Odd Side cranks to eleven by adding root beer. Bring a friend because you'll be chain drinking these things before you even decide whether chain drinking is even a thing. Have food delivered from one of GH's nearby eateries and you've got yourself a a full on free for all. Odd Side has so many staple and seasonal brews. Staff are friendly and let you try it before you buy it. Great atmosphere. Visit often!

Really cool space, good Italian pilsner, flavorless lattes... my ube one just tasted like milk... which is not good because I HATE milk :( ... I know bizarre thing to be so passionate about. Call it childhood daily farm trauma
I didn't have anything to eat here so this is purely a rating of the beer and Ube latte. Overall the beer was... meh... and the latte I already commented on.
Also, the cafe side of house staff were having a bad day or something. They ignored my friend and I at first and then, after we ordered and moved aside (for no one! There was no one else in the cafe!), the one barrista rather rudely told us to take a seat. That interaction was just kind of weird. The folks tapping the beer though were great!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 9, 2023
A very cool space. It is a brewery, but also restaurant. We grabbed a few seats at the bar and the two bartenders were so attentive and nice. My husband had a flight. The Peach Smash , We Be Jammin, Strawberry Peach Smoothie and the Midwest IPA. He liked the Strawberry Peach Smoothie the best. I had a seltzer. It was the Lemon Elderflower and I did not enjoy it. It was not as fruity as I would have liked. Overall, lots of great selections !

Not one to usually get a flight but this bucket list brewery...I couldn't pick just one. Great beer in a cool building that lives up to the hype. Can't wait to come back

I didn't realize we were in an social district. I wish the bartender had explained this more clearly. He just kind of explained things like I should know. His demeanor was okay but stand off ish. Smile more,
It doesn't hurtHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom F.Fort Mill, SC1407Feb 25, 2024

Fabulous brewery. Lots of options including several tasty barrel aged beers which are my favorite. The seating was largely communal, but there are some decently sized booths and a long bar to sit at. They don't serve food, but a local restaurant will deliver to your table. Decently priced
Would recommend and will go again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
