First impression wasn't off to great start. Waited at the host stand for 5-10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us standing there. Same thing after we were seated. Server seemed overwhelmed, barely had a conversation with us. Food was above par, view was amazing! Will try this place again... may have just been an off night. Just stinks since it was our anniversary.

Exceeded my expectations.
Our server, Kaylie, was thoughtful, courteous and anticipated our requests by bringing us a dessert menu, boxes, etc before I asked.
A hostess even ran out into the cold to bring us our to go boxes we forgot on the table!
Fantastic staff, meal, drinks and atmosphere. Am definitely coming back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurie A.Grand Haven, MI6689Dec 7, 2023
Stopped in on a whim as we often do... Always a delight!
Seafood Chowder to die for! Beats any in New England area hands down.
Always stellar hospitality from Tony and his dedicated staff. Great nightly specials and open 7 days...a rarity post covid and so welcome.
Bartenders crafting their own divine concoctions such as the Il Sophisticato Martini (aptly named!) and the uniquely complex warm Chai masterpiece.
Excellent ambience with sounds of waves and fire pits...just the right escape from the schlocky tourist grub downtown. Can eat anywhere but always prefer to "dine" here.
Best food on the Lakeshore!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dorothy C.Versailles, KY04Apr 11, 2024
There is little ambiance--plain Formica tables, bland lighting, absent server. Food is overpriced. View at sunset is amazing. This

Got the linguine vongole in white sauce. Came with a heft amount of clams! Server was super sweet. We sat outside and there was a nice cool breeze.
Ahi fish tacos were ok, not something we preferred. The calamari was good!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 7, 2023
Great location for the view, food is meh!
We got 2 pizzas for takeout, had a picnic on the beach there and we saw this place and looked up their menu. The pizza sounded so good, wood oven, so right away I was in! The margarita pizza, I was expecting to have real fresh mozzarella on it and more basil, idk it just wasn't that great! The mushroom pizza tasted like the mushrooms were not cooked through, very very chewy, and they were not too generous with the topics on the pizzas. Lots of crust and not enough cheese. The 2 pizzas took 45 minutes, when I went it the place looked pretty empty so not sure why it took so long. Idk maybe the other food might be good here but the pizzas were meh, nothing special, dough was a bit hard and dry, it just didn't hit the spot for us unfortunately. Also it's pretty pricey for individual pizzas.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mary V.Grand Haven, MI01Apr 12, 2024
I had the Pistachio Crusted Walleye and was sadly disappointed. The fish was overcooked and dry and the crust was too thick and also overdone. I'm not inclined to go back :(

Only public food establishment I know of on the west coast of Michigan, with Lake Michigan in full view. Menu is good. Pizza is my favorite. Great wine selection. A bit pricey, but well worth it. You may want to sit outside on the sandy beach patio in the summer, as you can dress very casually and can usually get it. Very busy on weekends in the summer. Still busy on weekends off season, so go during the week, or early in the evening.

One of the best experience in Grand Haven. Request Hunter to make your cocktails. Sat upstairs and watched the sunset - the coolest vibe.
Ordered an espresso martini, one of the best I've ever had and I'm a stickler for a good cocktail. He then expressed how great their Aperol Spritz are and created us his own version with mint, gin, and herbs. Seriously one of the best drinks I've ever had along with his great hospitality. Owner Tony welcomed us, very kind, witty person.
Pizza was great! They have a garlic parm based ranch that is so yum!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 3, 2023
Perfect location on the water. The views are amazing on the patio. The food was perfectly prepared and service was excellent. We had the calamari app and I had crabs stuffed whitefish. It was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The only downside is the people who insist on bringing their pets to dinner. Leave them at home. Highly recommend
