JW's is a cozy neighborhood eatery that offers a wide variety of choices for almost every palate. From our award-winning white chili, to our Mexican fare, to our perch, we have what you are looking for in a casual dining atmosphere. JW's also has an extensive wine and beer list and a full bar if you desire a cocktail with your meal. JW's has the biggest, best BLT you will ever attempt to get your mouth around, and our grilled burgers and steaks pair well with a nice red wine. Our homemade soups are unique and delicious, winning many awards in area competitions. All of our desserts are baked in-house-Key Lime Pie, New York style cheesecake, or Mocha Truffle Torte. Bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce is a specialty that we do occasionally that is second-to-none. J-Dub's is the place where "the locals go" in West Michigan, and the place that the out-of-towners come back to, year after year.

Has two sections a dining area and bar area connected by 2 hallways. Parking is close by. The staff has always been pleasant and fun on the several we have been there. Food is good and never an issue with bar service. In summer there is some outdoor seating.

I went back to JW's and ordered the perch sandwich and coleslaw for lunch. It was excellent and strongly recommend it. I will definitely be back soon! P.S. They actually serve yellow perch and not Zander Pike, like most restaurants. Legally, it can be called perch but it does not compare to yellow, or even white lake perch.

Unfortunately, the last three times that I have eaten there, it has been less than impressive. I am not so sure that I will go back any time soon, especially with the prices being so high for not so great food. I certainly don't push people to go there anymore.

Love this place. The free wine tasting on Wednesday evenings was excellent. Everyone in the shop was so nice. The wine samples were also delicious. After our tasting we went to the restaurant side and ordered French dip sandwiches that were out of this world. So good and such a hearty meal. Will definitely go back!

First time dining here. Service was great. We had the pretzel and beer cheese for an appetizer- they were good. I had French dip sliders and cup of French onion soup. The soup was good; the beef on sliders were over done. Mushroom burger for guest, she thought it was excellent!

The wrap special was great, but the Award Winning Chicken Chili left a lot to be desired, questioning who did the awarding, Chicken was minimal, just lottsa' beans and very thick compared to Chicken Chili I've eaten elsewhere, and also make myself. I would definitely go back as the other food we ordered was great along with the service.

Joe, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you didn't find our atmosphere as inviting as you'd like, and that the restaurant was loud. Last year we completed outdoor renovations and this year we are working on our indoor renovations. It's a work in progress and won't be loud for too much longer. We hope to serve you again soon and have the opportunity to bump up your rating a couple of notches!
Sep 30, 2022Previous reviewWe went for lunch and it was really busy, which was nice to see. The food was great, but the noise level made it difficult to hold a conversation. It had been remodeled and it has a 'cold' feeling, not like it was in previous years when it had a warm, quiet atmosphere. It was decided that if we ever go back, it will be at a later time when it's less crowded......never at 12:00 noon!!!
