Event Description: Home repair scams pop up every spring as homeowners plan their home improvement projects. Before you begin your next project, plan on attending the Michigan Consumer Education presentation at SLDL to learn how to recognize warning signs of home repair scams. Guest speaker Elizabeth Parker will discuss how to avoid and report scammers, find a reputable contractor, verify a builder/plumber/electrical contractor license, and file a complaint if you have been the victim of a scam.
