Event Description: Teen program (5th – 12th grade).You'll create your own free-standing sculpture inspired by the art of Louise Nevelson with Michigan handcraft artist Jane Alkon. Using blocks of wood and wooden objects, your shapes will be arranged and glued into place, paying attention to light, shadow and balance. Your “Nevelson” sculpture will be painted matte black, true to the style of Nevelson, and will be a reflection of your own personal vision. All supplies included.
