Event Description: Barbara Lee, who leads cultural immersion trips, visited Kenya this past January, and will share her journey and experiences. She returned with two African expressions, Ubuntu (I am because we are) and Hakuna Matata (no problem), and two American words: diversity and adversity. Hear about people, not so different from us, claiming their power and finding their own voices in order to break the silence that keeps people oppressed and marginalized.
