Event Description: Gallery Uptown in Grand Haven has announced its August show, “Art Beneath the Bark,” featuring 3-D wood art, and some from palm fronds, from eight West Michigan artists. Gallery artist Ron Campbell will be joined by members of Grand River Woodturners; Rob Dibble, Chuck Ferguson, Barb Fugazzotto, Jeff Grill, Ralph Lindholm, Dave Phillips and Tom Rumsey. “Art Beneath the Bark” will run August 3 through 28. There will be an opening reception on Friday, August 5, from 5:30 – 8:00pm. The artists will be on hand for the event and will speak about their work at 7pm. The public is invited to attend this free event; wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
