Event Description: This course is designed for individuals who are considering self-employment, or who may be at the beginning stages of starting a business. Delivered in a workshop format, this introductory session helps aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead & manage a company, as well as evaluate market & sales potential for their products/services. Start-up costs, financing options, & business planning are introduced, along with necessary steps to getting started. Specifics of marketing, finance, legal, regulatory issues, operations, information based planning & management are also key components of this workshop. The first steps for creating a business plan draft will be included.
