Event Description: Held annually in November, International Education Week provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of MCC’s efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the U.S. On Nov. 19, an International Student Panel Discussion – featuring current MCC students from Brazil, Vietnam, France and Zimbabwe – will be held from 6:15-7:15 p.m. in the Blue and Gold Room. The panelists will provide insights into their respective homelands. MCC Geography Instructor Michael Gutowsku will be the moderator. A number of ethnic culinary treats will be served beginning at 6 p.m. For more information on International Education Week, contact Papa N’Jai at (231) 777-0693 or Mary Schutt at (231) 777-0380.
