Event Description: "Growing Up McKay" a new book about renowned animation pioneer and Spring Lake native Winsor McCay will be introduced at SLDL by author Kevin Collier. Until the publication of Collier's book, McCay's formative years from 1867-85, have been overlooked. Collier will share stories he uncovered while researching the book. A book signing will follow the presentation. Profits from the sale will be donated to the library to enhance the current McCay collection.
