Event Description: Counterpart Meeting, Wednesday, October 7, noon, Holiday Inn, 940 W. Savidge St, Spring Lake. Counterpart’s October 7 meeting will feature the Center for Women in Transition (CWIT), with an update of their activities and programs. Prior to the meeting, a van will be in front of the Holiday Inn from 11:30 to noon to collect for Counterpart’s fall clothing drive. Women’s fall and winter wear and accessories are needed to resupply CWIT’s “”Wardrobe for Work.” Counterpart will also begin collecting funds for the support of a local family that the group will “adopt” for the holiday season. Reservations for the meeting at the Spring Lake Holiday Inn are due no later than noon October 5 (the Monday prior to the luncheon). Guests are welcome. Please note that Counterpart is charged for each lunch ordered, so if you have a reservation, payment for your meal is due even if you cannot attend. Public wishing to hear the program without attending the luncheon are welcome to attend at no cost, and should arrive by 12:35. Counterpart is a local women’s organization whose mission is networking, broadening knowledge of our world, and providing support for local women and children.
