Event Description: Counterpart Meeting, Wednesday, August 5, noon, Holiday Inn, 940 W. Savidge St, Spring Lake, Michigan. Counterpart’s August 5 meeting will feature two of Counterpart’s members who recently visited Cuba. Pamela Blough and Bobbi Jones Sabine, both Licensed Landscape Architects, participated in a sketching class that visited the Havana area and the Vinales Valley area in the southwest part of the island. They will present photos from the trip and talk about their observations of the people, the culture, and the economy. Reservations for the meeting at the Spring Lake Holiday Inn are due no later than noon August 3 (the Monday prior to the luncheon). Guests are welcome. Please note that Counterpart is charged for each lunch ordered, so if you have a reservation, payment for your meal is due even if you cannot attend. Public wishing to hear the program without attending the luncheon are welcome to attend at no cost, and should arrive by 12:35. Counterpart is a local women’s organization whose mission is networking, broadening knowledge of our world, and providing support for local women and children.
