Event Description: More than 200 students from seven area high schools will converge on MCC’s Overbrook Theater on Friday, May 8, for the annual West Michigan High School Theater Festival. The event, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., involves a 25-minute performance by students from each participating school, followed by feedback from MCC Theater Instructors Tom Harryman and Sheila Wahamaki. Each school receives a recognition award at the festival’s conclusion. A dozen current MCC students will serve as hosts for this year’s participating high schools: Muskegon, Oakridge, Reeths-Puffer, Shelby, Spring Lake, West Michigan Christian and Whitehall.
