Event Description: Exhibit: Porcelain work by Minnesota clay artist: Monica Angelica Live Music: Woodsong Duo, Chris and Susan Loughrin Location: C2C Gallery, 104 Washington, Grand Haven Date: May 1, 2015; 6-9pm. Music starts at 7pm. C2C is excited to promote Grand Haven's ongoing First Friday Art Hop. We have more than 17 businesses providing space for local artists to show their work between 6 and 8 pm. C2C is hosting a Minnesota clay artist for the month of May, Marion Angelica. Marion is a clay artist who began as a sculptor and fell in love with the idea of creating sculpturally oriented functional artwork. Currently, Marion, exhibits in a variety of galleries across the country. Her clay work is about texture, nature, and the ability to use art in your daily life. Marion has a bachelor’s of art degree from the University of Massachusetts. A Master’s of Art from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a Master’s of Fine Art from the University of New York-New Paltz. In 2012 and 2013, this artist was awarded the Jerome Foundation Emerging Artist Award. Our music for the evening is the Woodsong Duo. Chris and Susan Loughrin, a husband and wife team, who perform throughout the area. You will enjoy their American Folk harmonies with acoustical guitar.
