Event Description:
Counterpart’s March meeting will feature Ottawa County Parks Director John Scholtz and County Parks Commission President Bobbi Jones Sabine, who will team up to provide an overview of the Ottawa County Parks to date and what is in store for the future. Scholtz has been Parks Director since it became a separate county department over 25 years ago and has steered the growth and development of the parks system from a few hundred acres to nearly 7000 acres today. Sabine, a Licensed Landscape Architect and natural resources consultant, is completing her 12th year of serving on the County Parks Commission. Reservations for the meeting at the Spring Lake Holiday Inn are due no later than noon March 2 (the Monday prior to the luncheon). Guests are welcome. To make or cancel reservations, call or email Martha Roldan: 616.607.9205, keltyroldan@msn.com . The $11.00 luncheon fee is due at the door. Please note that Counterpart is charged for each lunch ordered, so once you make a reservation, payment for your meal is due even if you cannot attend. Public wishing to hear the program without attending the luncheon are welcome to attend at no cost, and should arrive by 12:35. Counterpart is a local businesswomen’s organization whose mission is networking, broadening knowledge of our world, and providing support for local women and children.
