The Chamber would like to make area businesses aware that once again the State of Michigan has appropriated funds for the Skilled Trades Training Fund. These highly funds will once again be awarded on a first-come-first serve basis and many manufacturers in the state are lining up to receive these funds. Having your home work completed when the funds become available on October 1st is critical.

The Chamber, along with Ottawa County Michigan Works! will conduct training on how to secure the maximum amount of funds. HR Staff or anyone involved with training within your company is welcome to attend.

The Skilled Trades Training Fund:

$20 million available statewide
First come first serve
Can be used for incumbent workers or new hires
Applications submitted through Ottawa County Michigan Works!
